Published by Lokal Lab, Lokal Flavor is a Filipino cookbook featuring 50 recipes and profiles of beloved karenderyas (eateries), restaurants and local meals across Siargao island. The publication celebrates foodways and agriculture through the work of Lokal Lab, a grassroots NGO that supports and empowers the local Siargao community through initiatives, livelihood training, and tours grounded in sustainable food production, regenerative farming, and nature-based education. The first-edition book offers a glimpse into the island life through appetisers, main courses, desserts, and drinks created by local chefs and cooks.
