Join us on Saturday 25 July for Malindang: Tastes of Western Mindanao: a seasonal, winter-warming lunch with Kristina Náray celebrating Southern Philippines flavours, ancestral food technologies, and family farming tales.

Histories come alive on the plate as Kristina presents soulful dishes that explore her family’s long lineage as farmers who lived resourcefully off the land–harvesting coconut, rice, corn, and market vegetables in the Zamboanga peninsula.

Following on from the success of her debut event at Magenta House in April, the Naarm based chef returns to stage an unforgettable lunch that showcases the pre-colonial ways of mountainous probinsya (provincial) life. During this session, she will relay the culinary traditions across Mindanao and migration stories from neighbouring lands (long before European and the American influences were introduced to mainstream Pinoy cuisines).

Enjoy nine home-style dishes using seasonal and home-grown produce, with a menu guided by sustainable, zero-waste practices. Limited seats offered due to the intimate nature of this gathering.

Notes:
- Dishes will be pescatarian-driven, with no land animal meat sources used.
- Due to the regional ingredients and curated nature of this menu, we're unable to accommodate other dietary requirements. Thanks for understanding.
- Limited seats offered due to the intimate nature of this gathering and priority goes to guests who have not attended a Malindang event.
-  Menu will be released closer to the date to align with seasonal produce availability.

For event or dietary enquiries, pls contact Mariam via email. View a recap video from the first Malindang event here.

Seats are limited due to the nature of this intimate gathering. Waged tix are for people who are employed or are receiving income and Unwaged are for people who are currently unemployed or are in a low socio-economic situation. Please choose a tier that suits your circumstance.
