Warm your bellies and join us on Sunday 30 March for an early-dinner gathering and ‘funerary wake zine’ launch by My Name Chef (AKA Ronen Jafari) with Magenta House.
Arriving from Naarm with a goody-bag of spices and seasonal delights, My Name Chef will present a curry-themed communal feeding session to coincide with the launch of KARE ~ a limited-edition zine that pays homage to the Xanthorrea tree that once graced Magenta House’s courtyard. It recently passed away due to natural causes #sadface. So we’re holding a communal meal in the place where it once stood, with a multi-course menu by Ronen featuring Persian and East Asia recipes. KARE will also feature recipes that trek from Persia across to eastern Asia and eventually end up down south in Naarm. These assorted dishes provide you with some guidance on how to fill your tummies up with hearty curries during our multi-course dinner menu. Zines available for purchase on the day (more info soon).
Come mourn, munch and manifest with us!
